Patrol Division

Lieutenant Joseph Rodriguez is the Commanding Officer of the Patrol Division.  He achieved a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at John Jay College, and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice at Iona College.

The Patrol Division is by far the largest of the four divisions of the Eastchester Police Department and is the most visible, providing police service to the community 24 hours a day. The patrol division is responsible for patrolling the streets of Eastchester and ensuring the safety of its citizens. It is divided into three patrol squads, the Traffic Division, Motorcycle Unit, and Bicycle Unit. 

In addition to Patrol Division duties, Lt. Rodriguez is responsible for the following Departmental functions:

Administration and management of Departmental Training and the Field Training
Administration of the Community Police Aide function
Community Relations / Information
Member of Special Investigations Unit
Administration and management of Specialized Units
